When you come in for your first appointment, you’ll probably be surprised by just how quickly it goes by! At SEV Laser, we use the latest technologies, so neck laser hair removal takes just around 5 minutes. However, please note that your first appointment might be a little longer. Your laser technician or registered nurse will take the time to answer your questions and give advice. They’ll also confirm that you’re a good candidate for laser hair removal.
There are some contraindications to keep in mind, so make sure to check them in advance of your appointment. If you’re a little nervous, don’t be afraid to ask as many questions as you need. At SEV Laser, our goal is to make sure you’re as comfortable as possible during the treatment.
If you’re wearing any makeup or lotions, your technician will also give you a face wipe to remove them. To cover your eyes, she’ll give you a pair of protective goggles, as well. Then, you’ll be ready to start! Your service provider will use a skin-safe pencil to draw quadrants over your neck. This allows them to work methodically and ensure they don’t miss a single hair.
Finally, the laser treatment can begin. Each zap of the laser will sting a little bit, a pain that is comparable to waxing or tweezing. Most of our clients tolerate it well enough, but we can always take a break if needed. Once we’ve treated the entire neck area, we’ll give you aloe vera to soothe the skin and sunscreen to protect it from the sun.
