How Does Voluma Work?

As with all SEV-approved dermal fillers, Juvéderm Voluma XC is made of hyaluronic acid gel. Unlike other fillers, Voluma is designed to truly sculpt the face. It is a little thicker and more substantial than the fillers we would use for wrinkles or lip augmentation.

What To Expect After Juvéderm Voluma

You may experience some tenderness, inflammation, and swelling in the treated area in the hours and days following injection. You can use an ice pack to calm the area.

In the 24 immediately following your treatments, we recommend that you avoid direct sun exposure, extreme heat, or high-impact exercise.

How Much Does Juvéderm Voluma XC Cost?

At SEV, Juvéderm Voluma XC injections cost between $750 and $900 per syringe. Our prices for injections vary depending on the SEV location.

How Long Does Juvéderm Voluma XC Last?

Voluma is one of the longest-lasting hyaluronic acid fillers on the market. Its results can last for up to 2 years, although this also varies from person to person. We usually recommend coming back for a touch-up a year after your first treatment.

Can You Use Juvéderm Voluma in the Lips?

Juvéderm Voluma is too firm for the lips. There are other dermal fillers, like Juvederm Ultra XC, Volbella, and Restylane Kysse, that do a much better job of enhancing the lips.

Where Can Juvéderm Voluma Be Injected?

Juvéderm Voluma is ideal for adding volume and structure to the cheeks and chin. In some cases, we may also use it for the jawline.

At What Age Can You Get Juvéderm Voluma?

You must be at least 18 years old to consent to receive dermal fillers. However, keep in mind that Juvéderm Voluma is only recommended for ages 21 and above.
