Your safety is paramount when undergoing a treatment like laser hair removal on the eyebrows. During the procedure at SEV, you will wear protective goggles to prevent any eye damage. Your provider will choose the right laser and settings for your skin, limiting the risk of adverse events. 

We’ll only treat the area between the brows or up to half an inch above the brows as part of our forehead or full-face laser hair removal treatments. Several case studies show that lasering any closer to the brows can put the eyes at risk, so we don’t perform full eyebrow shaping with laser hair removal. 

Some patients may experience mild side effects after their laser hair removal treatment, though. Localized redness or swelling are common, but tend to dissipate within a few hours of treatment.

Can you do laser hair removal on your eyebrows?

Treating the eyebrows directly with laser hair removal is not recommended but you can benefit from laser hair removal between your brows.

Do eyebrows grow back after laser?

If you’ve intentionally had a series of laser eyebrow hair removal treatments, the results generally last (especially if getting touch-ups as needed). Sometimes, unintentional hair loss may occur after other laser treatments, such as tattoo removal. If that’s the case, most hair will usually grow back.

Is laser hair removal safe for the eyebrows?

Laser hair removal is safe between the eyebrows but not below or directly above the eyebrows. There have been documented cases of damage to the eye from treatments.
