What is Clear + Brilliant®

Clear + Brilliant® is a fractional, non-ablative laser treatment that improves skin texture, fine lines, and discoloration with minimal downtime. It works by stimulating collagen production and accelerating natural cell turnover beneath the skin’s surface. 

It treats the skin at a 1440 nm wavelength to target texture and fine lines deeper in the dermis, and at a 1927 nm fractional pulse to address surface pigmentation and boost glow.

It’s the ideal laser treatment for addressing early signs of aging, sun damage, and visible surface imperfections, while maintaining smoother, more radiant skin over time.

What to Expect

Your Clear + Brilliant® experience will begin with an application of topical numbing cream to ensure your comfort. Then, after cleansing your skin, treatment will begin. You may feel a tingling or prickling sensation as the laser stimulates renewal. 

After treatment, your skin may feel sensitive with some redness and swelling. You may notice a temporary ‘bronzed’ appearance or sandpaper-like texture as damaged cells get pushed to the surface. While you’ll see a glow within a week or two, collagen remodeling continues for 3–6 months.

Most clients will see significant improvement in fine lines, skin tone clarity, pore size, and texture with a series of treatments.

Discontinue use of any systemic steroids 

2 weeks before

Avoid sun exposure, use SPF 30+ consistently, and remove all sunless tanner
Stop using topical retinoids, corticosteroids, or chemical exfoliants with AHAs or BHAs (i.e., glycolic or salicylic acid)

24-48 hours before

Shave any coarse hair in the treatment area

Only use tepid water, gentle cleansers, and unscented moisturizers on treated skin

Avoid hot tubs, saunas, steam showers, or excessively hot water
Do not use scented skincare products if skin is sensitive

Avoid sun exposure or tanning, use mineral SPF 30+ consistently 
Do not scrub, exfoliate, or pick at skin
Avoid using topical retinoids and skincare with AHA/BHA

Clear + Brilliant® is a fractional laser treatment using a diode laser. It creates microthermal treatment zones to stimulate collagen production and cell turnover while leaving the surrounding tissue intact. The first pass with the Original handpiece targets the dermal layer to treat texture and lines, while the second pass with the Perméa handpiece targets dullness and discoloration.

Who should avoid Clear + Brilliant® ?

Clear + Brilliant® should be avoided by those with contraindications, such as active infection or inflammation in the treatment area. It is also not appropriate for clients who are pregnant, or taking oral isotretinoin (Accutane). This is not an exhaustive list — medical clearance is necessary before treatment.

What is the downtime after Clear + Brilliant®?

Downtime is minimal. Redness, tenderness, and swelling may last 1-3 days, and skin may look slightly textured and bronzed for up to 2 weeks.

When will I see results?

Improvements in skin tone and texture are often visible within 1–2 weeks after treatment, with cumulative improvements after multiple sessions.
